Samsung released Galaxy S3 Mini in October 2012 but they have recently as well as secretly announced a "Valued Edition" of S3 Mini in Netherlands. The phone is available from very few shops at the moment. The value edition offers slightly better hardware with a slightly lower price. Some enhanced features include better processor, newer camera options and newer version of Android. The smartphone although available in few shops is priced at $250. Its technical specs are discussed below:
The handset runs a newer version of Android that comes by default. Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini was powered by Android 4.1 (JellyBean) and can be upgraded to Android 4.4 (KitKat). Valued Edition is a little low on specs as compared to today's price. But Samsung could have sold decent number of units if it would have been released nearer to S3 mini release back in 2012.
