Apple will launch iOS for cars named "CarPlay"

iOS won't be limited to just iPhone. Apple has announced that they will launch the iOS for upcoming models of cars. The car version of the iOS has been named "CarPlay" by the company. But it would be of useless if you're not an owner of either iPhone 5, 5C or 5S. By connecting the iPhone with the car, you'll be able to
enjoy the CarPlay at its full potential.

Many new and great features has been added to the OS. And all the new features are designed in such a way that the driver can use them without getting distracted from the road. The answer to the question "How?" is the Siri Voice Control. All the commands can be given through voice even the text messages can be dictated. Or you can even use the touchscreen display given in the car to access apps.

Apps like Apple Maps, Road Calling, Messages, Calling, Beats Music and iHeart Radio are included in the OS. Apple maps will of course show you the way (duh! what else can it do?). Road Calling and Messages will allow user to call and send SMS respectively as long as the iPhone stays connected. With Beats Music, users can organize all their iPhone songs in a single place and listen to them for as long as they want. And last of all, iHeart Radio (you must have already figured it out. There's no need for telling you so.)

According to Apple's website, CarPlay will be coming to selected models of Ferrari, Honda, Mercedes-Benz, Land Rover, Ford, Jaguar, KIA, Suzuki and many more. (To check all the partners, click on the source link given below.)
