We've heard about many patents involving Nokia and HTC. All of them were filed and won by Nokia. But after 4 winnings, both the companies made a collaboration agreement to end the remaining patents. Just like the above mentioned companies world's top smartphone companies, Apple and Samsung too, were involved in many cases which were filed by Apple
against Samsung. And similarly to the Nokia and HTC situation, Apple won all of them. Both the companies tried to settle the situation but failed to do so out of the courtroom.
Today, Apple and Samsung case came to an end. And again just like before, Apple came out victorious. Apple originally wanted to ban the sales of Samsung devices in the US. But Samsung somehow managed to stop Apple from putting a ban on its devices especially with its recently announced flagship, Galaxy S5. But even though the request for ban was denied yet Samsung has been fined. According to the final statement given by the judge, Samsung will be paying a total of $929 million to Apple.
But turns out that this wasn't just enough for Apple. Samsung will again be returning to the court by the end of this month regarding to another patent which has something to do with the Galaxy S3. And the trial will continue for 14 days. We'll see if Apple retains its position as a winner in the court or not when the trial will come to an end.
