Looks like the Jelly Beans are leaving and won't be coming back for Sony Xperia smartphones that were released in 2012. Sony has announced that those Xperia models that were released in 2012 won't be getting any further Android OS updates. OS updates lifetime whichever smartphone you use. You don't need to dishearten yourself. If you want a newer version of Android then you need to buy a new smartphone. Changing a smartphone is not as easy as it looks like but "no pain no gain". If you want a newer version of the OS then you got to buy a new smartphone. There's no other choice.
