HTC CFO (Chief Financial Officer), Chialin Chang, reported earlier this month that unlike last year, they will focus on mid-ranged smartphones in 2014. And now, it looks like he meant what he said. A recently leaked image of a mid-ranged smartphone, HTC Desire 8, with a 5.5" display appears on mydrivers website. This smartphones' body is made up of plastic (it wouldn't be mid-ranged if it was made of aluminium) with on-screen buttons just like the rumored M8. HTC seems to be shifting from physical buttons to on-screen buttons as
suggested by the images of its upcoming smartphones. Rear and Front cameras will be 13MP (with LED flash) and 5MP respectively. The image also reveals the "dual-frontal" speakers just like the HTC One. Its hardware specs still remains a mystery. It will be available in 5 colors: White, Red, Yellow, Orange and Cyan. The device is expected to go official on March 18 in Beijing, China.
