Another secured smartphone: Boeing Black

I don't really know what Black has to do with the security. But Boeing announces a new secured smartphone called "Boeing Black" similar to the BlackPhone which recently went for pre-order. Both the phones have one thing in common that is "Black" in the name. And that both the phones offer full privacy controls. Boeing Black is more secured than BlackPhone and offers more advanced features that ensure more user privacy. The company challenges the US Defense that no other smartphone can offer security as high as this phone. The company states that the phone was made by keeping in mind about the customers who wants their data to be fully confidential involving their mission or company details etc. The phone will provide user-friendly interface
based on Android, for ease of use for the consumers.

Some mentioned features of the phone includes:
  • Disk Encryption: Encrypted storage for sensitive data
  • Hardware Root of Trust: Ensures software authenticity
  • Hardware Crypto Engine: Protects stored and transmitted data
  • Embedded Secure Components: Enables trusted operations
  • Trusted Platform Modules: Provides secure key storage
  • Secure Boot: Maintains device image integrity
  • Hardware Modularity: Endless modularity capabilities
The most advanced feature in my opinion is that the device will delete user data if it "senses" itself to be getting dissembled with sensors present on the screws of the phone. This will protect user data even if the device is stolen.

Its hardware specs and the Android version that the phone will operate on is still not mentioned by the company. Nor is its price or availability revealed.
