Telenor wins two awards at Mobile World Congress 2014

Telenor and Tameer Micro Finance Bank introduced a service back in October 2009 called the "easypaisa" through which users can pay bills and make money transactions easily and safely with thousands of outlets around the country.

We all know that Mobile World Congress is the most important event of  the year regarding to mobile phones and technology. And on this event, GSMA mobile awards are held which are considered the only official awards.

At the GSMA Awards, Telenor's easypaisa service won not just one but two awards. Its a significant achievement for the company. And it also happens to be the first ever GSMA award given to Telenor. The two awards given for the service are as follows:

• Best Mobile Money Service
• Best Mobile Product/Service for Women in Emerging Markets
