Google announces Project Ara developers conference (Updated)

First of all is that what is Project Ara? Project Ara is Google's revolutionary project which can change the face of mobile phones. According to the project, a new smartphone will be introduced with everything customizable. Yes! you can change most parts of the device like the processor, RAM, camera, screen, battery etc. In this way, users won't have to buy a new smartphone. They can just buy the required update and change according to
their needs. This will allow the user to make a smartphone just like they want. The replaceable parts are called modules while the body which will hold the change of parts is called the "endoskeleton" of the phone.

Google has recently announced the press conferences for the developers. According to Google, three conferences will be held this year. All of them will be conducted online via online video streaming with the capability of Q/A sessions. Only limited people will be allowed for the Q/A session. The venue for the conference is Computer History Museum in Mountain View, California.

First conference will be held from April 14 to 16. Those who want to attend the Q/A sessions, will have to fill the required info on the registration page. Now don't get too excited. Even if you get selected, you'll have to pay $100 as a "ticket" fee. But only $25 are to be paid by students. Plus the payment needs to be made by the next 48 hours after you get selected.

Google hasn't specified the date and venue for the next two conferences. But as soon as they announce, you'll get to know about it right here.

Update: As Google wants the phone to be low priced, It has been reported that the price of endoskeleton will be kept under $50. Users will buy modules separately based on their necessities. The endoskeleton will be available in three sizes: 4-inches, 5-inches and a phablet (size not mentioned). The reason for three sizes is that the size of the endoskeleton cannot be changed. That's why user can buy any one of the preferred sizes.
