Apple didn't do well regarding to its mid-ranged smartphone, Iphone 5C. And now, even the Chief Executive of Apple Inc., Tim Cook, admitted that Iphone 5C didn't meet the expectation of the company at the quarterly earning conference call.. He also said that the demand percentage of Iphone 5C is "different than they thought". When asked about the reason behind the low demand of Iphone 5C, he answered that it could be because Apple's customers were more interested in the Iphone 5S. And he thinks the main reason behind the attraction to 5S rather than 5C is the Touch ID. Apple sold a total of 51 million 5C which
was less than the company's anticipation (55 million). Tim Cook didn't mentioned about the company's plans for next year if they would be launching a plastic body mid-ranged smartphone or not but it is rumored that Apple may dismiss the plastic-body smartphone next year.
