Samsung finally says Good-bye to Android. The company has announced their upcoming smart-watch "Galaxy Gear 2" which would be available in two versions i.e. Galaxy Gear 2 and Galaxy Gear 2 Neo just a day before MWC 2014. These smart-watches
will run Tizen OS. Samsung's first smartwatch, Galaxy Gear, received so many negative reviews last time that Samsung didn't even announced how much of the Galaxy Gear they sold. This clearly means that Galaxy Gear didn't performed well, otherwise Samsung would have told the number of sales like they did for the Galaxy Note series. Samsung Galaxy S5 which will be getting announced tomorrow, could also be running the Tizen OS as revealed by the invitation teaser.

Both the smart-watches comprise of the same features except that Gear 2 can take pics with its built-in camera and Gear 2 Neo can't. They contain the same features as that of Galaxy Gear with some new changes. Here are some of the new features that are added to both the smart-watches:
  • Both the Galaxy Gears will have a built-in Universal remote-control app and infrared sensor to control TV with the watch.
  • A music player app will be included in both the watches allowing user to listen to music even if its not connected to a smartphone.
  • Both models have 1.63" color touchscreen.
  • These watches can monitor your heart rate and sleeping habits which syncs with the health app that is pre-installed in Galaxy Note III and Galaxy S4.
The price of these devices haven't been announced. But like the Galaxy Gear which was priced at $300, these smart-watches will also cost around the same price.
